About Us

We're building the easiest way to find swimming lessons in Ireland

SwimPro.ie is Ireland's first dedicated swimming lessons directory. We help parents compare providers, read real reviews, and send enquiries directly — all from one place.

The problem we set out to solve

Ireland has over 400,000 people swimming every week. It's one of the most popular physical activities in the country, second only to walking. And yet, when a parent tries to find swimming lessons for their child, they hit a wall.

There's no single place to see what's available. You're left searching Google, scrolling through Facebook groups, texting other parents, calling swim schools one by one — and half the time, the answer is a waitlist. Some areas have six-month waits for kids' lessons. Others have availability nobody knows about because the provider doesn't show up on Google.

This problem is surprisingly basic for 2026. There are comparison sites for hotels, insurance, even pet food. But not for something as fundamental as learning to swim. We thought that was worth fixing.

How SwimPro.ie works

Search by location or lesson type

Enter your county, town, or lesson type. We show you every provider in the area with their pricing, reviews, and contact details.

Compare providers side by side

See ratings, lesson types, pricing, and locations at a glance. Filter by what matters to you — baby classes, open water coaching, competitive training, and more.

Enquire directly

Found the right fit? Send an enquiry through SwimPro and the provider gets it instantly. No sign-up needed, no middleman.

For parents

  • Completely free. Search, browse, read reviews, and send enquiries at no cost. No account required.
  • Every county covered. From Dublin city centre to rural Kerry, we list providers wherever they operate — not just where Google ranks them.
  • Real parent reviews. Every review is from a verified email address. No anonymous posts, no fake five-star ratings.

For swimming lesson providers

  • Free listing, always. Your basic listing on SwimPro is free with no time limit. Parents can find you, read about your lessons, and get in touch.
  • Claim and enrich. Claim your listing to add photos, update pricing, respond to enquiries, and see how many parents are viewing your page.
  • Built for SEO. Every listing page is structured for search engines with schema markup, local keywords, and fast load times. Parents searching for lessons in your area will find you.

What makes SwimPro different

We're not a generic business directory that happens to include swim schools. SwimPro is built specifically for swimming lessons in Ireland — every feature, every filter, every piece of content is designed around how parents actually search for lessons and how providers actually run their business.

That means you can filter by lesson type (baby, kids, adult, open water, competitive, masters, triathlon, private coaching), by county, by price range, and by what parents are actually saying in their reviews. It means providers get a listing page that shows exactly what parents want to see: lesson types, pricing, location, and social proof.

We don't charge parents. We don't run ads. We don't sell parent data. Our model is simple: providers who want additional visibility can upgrade to a featured listing. Everything else is free, for everyone.

Swimming lessons in Ireland: the bigger picture

Ireland is an island. Our children grow up around water — beaches, rivers, lakes, canals, harbours. And yet drowning remains one of the leading causes of accidental death for young people here. Water safety isn't optional; it's a life skill.

The Irish Water Safety body, Swim Ireland, and local authorities have done enormous work to promote swimming. But the supply side is fragmented. There are hundreds of providers across the country — swim schools, leisure centres, private coaches, tri clubs, open water groups — and no central place where a parent can see what's available, compare options, and make an informed choice.

That's the gap SwimPro exists to fill. Not to replace providers, but to make them easier to find. We believe every child in Ireland should have straightforward access to swimming lessons, regardless of where they live. Making the search easier is our small contribution to that goal.

How we verify listings

Transparency matters. Here's how listings end up on SwimPro.ie and what the badges on each listing mean.

How providers are found

Our editorial team researches swimming lesson providers across Ireland using public sources: council directories, Swim Ireland club lists, provider websites, social media, and local community boards. We compile each listing with publicly available information including location, lesson types, pricing, and contact details. Providers can also submit their own listing through our provider sign-up page.

What “Verified” means

A listing marked Verified means the provider has claimed their listing and our team has confirmed they are a real, operating swimming lesson provider. We check that the business exists, the contact details are valid, and the lesson types listed are accurate. Verified providers can update their own listing information, respond to enquiries, and add photos. Every listing shows a “Listing verified” date so parents can see when the information was last confirmed.

What “Featured” means

Featured listings are paid placements. Providers who upgrade to a Featured plan appear at the top of search results and category pages, and are highlighted with a gold border and star icon. Featured status does not affect reviews, ratings, or editorial content — it only affects placement. We believe in being upfront about this: if a listing is promoted, you'll always see the Featured badge.

How providers claim their listing

If you're a swimming lesson provider and you see your business on SwimPro, you can claim it for free. Visit your listing page and click “Claim this listing”, or go to our provider page to get started. Once you submit a claim, our team reviews it — typically within one to two business days — and once approved, you'll have full control of your listing: edit details, upload photos, see enquiries, and manage your public profile.

Reporting inaccurate information

If you notice a listing with incorrect information — wrong address, outdated pricing, a provider that has closed — please let us know at hello@swimpro.ie. We review every report and update listings promptly. Keeping information accurate is a priority for us.
