1. About these terms

These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of SwimPro.ie (“the Site”), operated in Ireland. By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last updated.

2. What SwimPro.ie is (and is not)

SwimPro.ie is a directory and enquiry platform that connects parents with swimming lesson providers across Ireland. We provide information, comparison tools, and a way to send enquiries.

We do not provide swimming lessons. All lessons, bookings, payments, cancellations, and any relationship arising from those activities are strictly between you and the provider. SwimPro.ie is not a party to any contract between a parent and a provider.

3. Using the Site as a parent or visitor

• You may browse the directory, read reviews, and view listing details without creating an account.
• To send an enquiry, you must provide a valid name and email address. The information you submit will be shared with the specific provider you are contacting.
• You agree not to submit false, misleading, or abusive information through enquiry forms or review forms.
• You are responsible for any decisions you make based on information found on SwimPro.ie. We recommend verifying provider details, qualifications, and availability directly before committing to lessons.

4. Using the Site as a provider

• Swimming lesson providers may appear on SwimPro.ie through our directory research or by submitting their own listing. All providers listed on the Site receive a free basic listing.
• Providers may claim their listing by verifying their identity and association with the business. Claimed listings can be enriched with photos, updated pricing, and other details.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information on your listing, including business name, address, contact details, pricing, and services offered.
• SwimPro.ie reserves the right to edit, correct, or remove listing information that is inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.
• Featured listings and premium features are subject to separate terms communicated at the point of purchase.

5. Reviews

• Reviews submitted on SwimPro.ie must be honest, based on genuine personal experience, and relate to the specific provider being reviewed.
• All reviews require a valid email address for verification. We may send a verification email before publishing a review.
• Reviews are moderated before publication. We reserve the right to reject or remove reviews that are defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, contain personal attacks, include spam or promotional content, or are otherwise inappropriate.
• Reviews reflect the opinions of individual users, not the views of SwimPro.ie. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any review.
• Providers may not submit reviews of their own business, pay for reviews, or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempting to manipulate review scores may result in removal of the listing.
• If you believe a review is false or defamatory, contact us at hello@swimpro.ie with the details and we will investigate.

6. Enquiries

• When you send an enquiry through SwimPro.ie, your contact details and message are forwarded to the provider. We retain a copy for service quality and dispute resolution purposes.
• SwimPro.ie does not guarantee that any provider will respond to your enquiry, nor do we guarantee the accuracy of any response.
• Enquiries are intended for genuine interest in swimming lessons. Submitting enquiries for spam, solicitation, or any purpose unrelated to finding swimming lessons is prohibited.

7. Claiming and managing a listing

• To claim a listing, you must demonstrate a legitimate association with the business (e.g. owner, manager, or authorised representative).
• SwimPro.ie reviews all claim requests and may request additional verification. We reserve the right to approve or reject any claim at our discretion.
• Claiming a listing that you do not have authority to manage is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
• If a listing is claimed by the wrong party, the rightful owner should contact us at hello@swimpro.ie and we will investigate.

8. Prohibited conduct

When using SwimPro.ie, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information of any kind.
• Impersonate another person, business, or entity.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the Site without prior written permission.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems.
• Use the Site to send spam, solicit unrelated services, or engage in any commercial activity not expressly permitted by these Terms.
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful.

9. Intellectual property

The SwimPro.ie name, logo, website design, page layouts, editorial content, and software code are the intellectual property of SwimPro.ie and are protected by Irish and international copyright law.

Listing data provided by providers remains the property of the respective provider. By submitting content to SwimPro.ie (including listing text, photos, and reviews), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, format, and distribute that content on the Site and in related marketing materials.

10. Accuracy and disclaimers

SwimPro.ie compiles listing information from publicly available sources and from providers directly. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that any information on the Site is complete, current, or error-free.

• We do not verify the qualifications, certifications, insurance, or Garda vetting status of any listed provider. Parents should independently verify these before enrolling children in lessons.
• Prices displayed on listings are indicative and may not reflect current rates. Always confirm pricing directly with the provider.
• Ratings and review scores are calculated from user-submitted reviews and represent aggregate opinions, not an endorsement by SwimPro.ie.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, SwimPro.ie and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of the Site or your reliance on information found on it.
• Any dispute, loss, or claim arising from your dealings with a swimming lesson provider found through SwimPro.ie.
• Any interruption, delay, or failure of the Site due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• Any loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity connected to your use of or inability to use the Site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under Irish law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SwimPro.ie, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Site, or any content you submit.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to SwimPro.ie at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. Providers may have their listings removed or accounts suspended for violation of these Terms, including but not limited to submitting false information or manipulating reviews.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SwimPro.ie shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
