BEST Fest Mallorca

The Irish open water week abroad. 13th edition, 22–28 May 2027, Colònia de Sant Jordi. Seven days of races from a 4×500 m relay to 10 km, plus talks, pool access at BEST Centre, and a social programme. You do not have to swim every day. Entries for 2027 are open.

Usual shape of the week: 5 km point-to-point, 1.9 or 3.8 km Corberana (Ironman swim distances, not a triathlon), 1.5 km, the 2.5 km "tell me your time", 3 km Es Carbó, then 7 or 10 km at Es Trenc, and a relay to finish. Eventrac lists the 2027 swim days from 23–27 May. The festival itself is billed 22–28 May. Water in late May is Mediterranean, not Irish. Wetsuit rules are published per race on the event pages. Record fields in recent years have been 500-plus swimmers. Irish names show up on the results every year. BEST Centre's 50 m pool is in the town if you want a lane in the afternoon.

Entries are open on bestopenwater.com. Eventrac handles the individual races and the all-events pack. You can enter one swim or the week. The UNIVERSAL Mallorca Olympic Triathlon on 22 May 2027 is a separate race, same organiser family, same town.

Palma airport, then 45 minutes south to Colònia de Sant Jordi. Direct Dublin–Palma is dense in May. Book the town early. The same hotels fill for BEST Fest and the Olympic triathlon weekend. SwimCamp.ie also uses this town if you want a training week rather than a race week.

UNIVERSAL Mallorca Olympic Triathlon is 22 May 2027 in the same town. IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia is 8 May 2027 on the other side of the island. SwimCamp.ie autumn weeks in this town are 2026 only so far.
