IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca

The Mallorca 70.3 Irish age-groupers treat as a season opener. Saturday 8 May 2027. Swim in Alcúdia Bay, bike into the Serra de Tramuntana, half marathon on the seafront. General registration for 2027 is already sold out. Ireland has been in the published source-country mix. This listing is for people already in, or planning 2028.

1.9 km sea swim, 90 km bike with Tramuntana climbing, 21.1 km run. It sells out because it is a holiday 70.3 with a serious bike, not because it is easy. May water is usually wetsuit-legal. The bike in a Mallorca spring wind is the part Irish first-timers underestimate.

General registration sold out. ironman.com is the only official list. Deferred / transfer rules are in the IRONMAN athlete agreement, not on SwimPro. If you do not have a slot, look at Peguera when 2027 opens, or the Mallorca Olympic on 22 May.

Alcúdia is about an hour from Palma airport. Direct Dublin–Palma in May. Stay in Alcúdia or Port d'Alcúdia. Bike hire is everywhere. BEST Fest the same month is on the south coast, a different trip unless you have a spare fortnight.

UNIVERSAL Mallorca Olympic is 22 May 2027 if you want an Olympic in the same month. IRONMAN Lanzarote is 15 May 2027, a full distance, different island. Challenge Roth is 4 July 2027.
