About This Event

The 2026 MARNATON cup finishes on the north of Ibiza on 10 October. Three distances into Port de Sant Miquel: 2 km from Cala Benirràs, 4 km from Es Caló de s'Illa, 8 km from Cala Xarraca. Clinic on the Friday, yoga on the Sunday. Wilder coastline than Cadaqués, still a holiday weekend.

Closes the MARNATON eDreams cup each October.

What to Expect

Saturday is race day. The 8 km is a coach transfer to Cala Xarraca. The 2 km is the short, scenic one. Mediterranean in early October is still swimmable without a wetsuit for many Irish sea swimmers, though wetsuits are allowed. Who It's For

Masters and open water swimmers who already did Cadaqués, or anyone who wants an Ibiza weekend rather than a Costa Brava one. The 2 km is a first open water race. The 8 km needs a few 5 km+ swims in the bank.

How to Enter

Enter at marnaton.com/ibiza. Same cup as Cadaqués. You do not need to have raced earlier rounds. Ferry code and clinic details are on the official page.

Getting There

Direct flights from Dublin to Ibiza in October are patchy. Many Irish swimmers fly to Palma or Barcelona and take the ferry. Port de Sant Miquel is on the north coast, about 30 minutes from Ibiza Town. Stay in Sant Miquel or Portinatx. Oceanman Ibiza is at Es Port d'es Torrent the following weekend if you want two races on one trip.

Cadaqués (19 September) is the other remaining 2026 MARNATON. Oceanman Ibiza runs 16–18 October at a different bay. BEST Fest 2027 is the Mallorca week if you prefer a full festival to a one-day cup race.
